Team Notes
Hannah Greenemeier qualified the No. 26 Vantage. Following a red flag midway through the 15-minute session, Greenemeier delivered the fastest lap to secure the MOTUL Pole Award.
Looking to defend second midway through the opening lap, Greenemeier was hit from behind, spun, and then struck again, forcing the Colorado native to rejoin at the back of the GS field.
The team gambled on strategy, bringing the No. 26 Vantage to pit lane early for fuel only. Shortly after, a full-course caution came out while Greenemeier was running 24th. Once the rest of the GS field completed their pit stops, the No. 26 cycled up to seventh for the restart.
With just under an hour remaining, the No. 26 made its final scheduled stop for left-side tires, fuel, and a driver change to Hannah Grisham, rejoining in 16th.
Ten minutes later, IMSA issued the No. 26 a black flag, forcing an unscheduled stop to remove a damaged side skirt that had been hanging loose since the opening-lap contact. Grisham rejoined the race in 19th.
Over the final 40 minutes, Grisham charged back through the field, ultimately bringing the No. 26 Vantage home in 15th.
Chatting with the drivers…
Hannah Grisham: “A tough weekend at CTMP. Hannah Greenemeier started from pole, but unfortunately early contact sent us to the back of the field. We fought our way back into the top ten before being black-flagged for loose bodywork, which dropped us back again. Despite the setbacks, we kept pushing and came home in 15th. Huge thanks to everyone on the team for all their hard work and determination throughout the weekend. We’ll take what we learned and come back stronger at the next one.”
Hannah Greenemeier: “It was a great qualifying and I’m super proud of the team for giving Hannah and I a great car to be able to go put it on pole. Ultimately, the result in the race wasn’t what we would have wanted or expected, given the car's speed, but that’s racing. The team did a great job clawing our way back from some first-lap contact that sent us back; I’m super proud of everyone for that. Our time will come in the races, and each time we make a bit more progress, we just need a little luck. Super thankful for the opportunity to drive for The Heart of Racing, and I’m looking forward to Road America. Also, a big congratulations to the entire team for grabbing three pole awards in one day!”
