Team Notes

  • Driver Rotation: Zacharie Robichon, Eduardo "Dudu" Barrichello, Tom Gamble

  • The No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage remained in podium contention through the opening half of the six-hour endurance race.

  • Running one lap short of their scheduled pit stop, Barrichello was caught out by the timing of a full-course caution, costing the No. 27 valuable track position. Despite the setback, the team fought back to secure a fifth-place finish for the remainder of the race.

Chatting with the drivers…

Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello: “We had a good day today, and everyone on the team did a great job. Unfortunately, the full course yellow timing just put us in a tough spot. We will try again at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with Roman as my co-driver.”

Tom Gamble: “It’s a bit of a hard day to describe, really. We started at the top of the field. Dudu and Zach did a phenomenal job of controlling the race in the first half. Unfortunately, we just got caught out by a caution, and just like that, the race was kind of away from us. We had a really strong pace over a lap, but struggled a bit on top speed, making it hard for us to pass people. Watkins Glen, in general, is quite a tricky track to overtake. I think we could have got a lot more today, but that’s the way racing goes sometimes.”

  • Roman De Angelis completed three laps under caution before returning to the pit lane for a fuel top-off.
