The Heart of Racing Event Preview | 2026 Sebring International Speedway

The Heart of Racing at Sebring International Speedway

The Heart of Racing has made 10 Twelve Hours of Sebring starts since 2020:

  • Best Starting Position : 2nd (2024) - 1:59.264 w/ No. 23 Heart of Racing Team

  • Best Finish : 2nd (2020) - Roman De Angelis, Ian James, Darren Turner

  • Podium Finishes :  3 (2020, 2021, 2025)

Team Notes

  • The No. 23 Aston Martin THOR Team returns to Sebring International Raceway, the site of the Aston Martin Valkyrie’s IMSA debut. Gunn, De Angelis, and Riberas will look to secure a strong result after finishing second at Petit Le Mans in 2025 and will aim to improve on their 10th-place finish at the 2026 Rolex 24 At Daytona.

  • Barrichello joins Gamble and Robichon for his first Sebring appearance with the team. The trio arrives with momentum after earning a third-place finish at Daytona, while Barrichello and Robichon also completed a productive test at Sebring earlier this week.

  • Grisham and Greenemeier return for their second IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge start in the No. 26 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the GS category. The duo previously finished third at Sebring in Pirelli GT4 America in 2024. The team’s Female Driver Academy will look to build on its Daytona performance, where the pair qualified sixth and were running in podium contention before a spin ultimately resulted in an 11th-place finish.

Chatting with the drivers…

Ross Gunn : “It’s awesome to be back to IMSA action after a short break, following Daytona. The team has worked extremely hard during this time to prepare for what is often the toughest and most enduring race of them all. Sebring is an all-time classic, and one that I enjoy a lot as a driver. I can’t wait to get to Florida and start driving!”

Roman De Angelis : “I can’t wait for Sebring. While Daytona didn’t offer up what we were hoping for, I’m looking forward to the chance for the team to get some redemption. Daytona wasn’t an accurate representation of the winter’s hard work and how much we’ve all improved, so now it’s time to mentally reset and focus on bringing a strong result, which I believe we can achieve in Sebring. I’m looking forward to being back with Alex and Ross as well. The last time we raced as a trio, we had a pretty good outing at Road Atlanta, where we finished second!”

Alex Riberas : “I’m very much looking forward to Sebring, coming off a challenging race at Daytona. I think we have found some solutions to the issues we faced there and there is a new wave of optimism in the team to go to Sebring and perform at the highest level. This will also be the first time we have returned to a track that we have already raced at with the Valkyrie, so we already have data that we can work with. It will be fascinating to see how much the program has evolved in the past 12 months.”

Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello : “I’m super excited for Sebring. It’s another new track for me, one that I’ve really wanted to race for years. I can’t wait to get back to it. It feels like Daytona was ages ago already. We hope to keep the momentum going.”

Tom Gamble : “I can’t wait to be back at Sebring, it’s one of my favorite tracks. We had a fast car and a great result there last year, with a podium finish. Hopefully, we can repeat that or go a few positions higher!”

Zacharie Robichon : “Sebring is a highlight of the calendar for many teams and drivers. It’s punishing for everyone, and after our strong start in Daytona this year, we will look to continue our momentum and hopefully improve on last year's podium finish.”

Chatting with the drivers…

Hannah Grisham : “Sebring is always one of the toughest and most iconic tracks we go to, so I’m really looking forward to the weekend. With this being the first two-hour race of the season in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge's shorter format, it really emphasizes execution and making the most of every stint. Daytona was a strong start for us, and I’m looking forward to building on that momentum and continuing to improve as the season goes on.”

Hannah Greenemeier : “I’m excited to get back to Sebring again this year. I’m looking forward to doing a two-hour race with Hannah and seeing how Michelin tires compare to the previous tire brand we raced with at this track. I know the team has been working hard, so I’m ready to go out there and see if we can build on our result in Daytona.”
