Indianapolis, IN. (September 17, 2025) - The Heart of Racing will head to the world-renowned Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks, September 19-21.

The race weekend also marks the penultimate round of the championship, as the No. 27 Heart of Racing Team enters the weekend holding second in the GTD championship points standings, just 171 points shy of the leaders. The Aston Martin THOR No. 23 Valkyrie will make its return alongside the rest of the GTP class having last competed at the beginning of August at Road America.

Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis will be back behind the wheel of the No. 23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Valkyrie this weekend. The duo is coming off their best Valkyrie finish in IMSA competition, scoring sixth at Road America.

In 2023, Gunn secured a second-place finish in IMSA’s return to the Brickyard in a sprint race with Alex Riberas sharing the cockpit. The Gunn / Riberas duo finished fourth in GTD PRO last year for the first Indianapolis six-hour enduro. De Angelis, on the other hand, made his first GTD PRO start in 2024 alongside Mario Farnbacher; the pair finished sixth in class. The Canadian has several starts at IMS, including a fourth-place finish in GTD in 2023 and several podium finishes in SRO America’s Pirelli GT4 America series.

“I’m looking forward to getting back on track, after what has felt like a very long break for us,” said Gunn. “During our break, the Aston Martin THOR team has worked hard on making improvements to the Valkyrie package that is blossoming with every race we compete in. Arriving at the famous Brickyard is always a moment to pinch yourself, given its rich history. We are entering the final phase of the championship, where our goal is to build on our previous result. We had our best result last time out at Road America, so the aim is to get one better and continue our learning.”

Casper Stevenson, Tom Gamble, and Zacharie Robichon will reunite in the No. 27 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage in the GTD category for the first time since the trio’s win at Sahlen’s Six Hour of the Glen in June. Stevenson and Gamble are most recently coming off a third-place finish at VIRginia International Raceway in August.

Though Stevenson, Gamble, and Robichon will all be making their IMS debuts, the No. 27 Heart of Racing Team will aim for a top result at the Brickyard to close the GTD championship point standings heading into the final round at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in October. This weekend’s race has a total of 385 points available, comprising 35 points in qualifying and 350 points in the race.

“I can’t wait to head to Indianapolis for the first time this weekend,” said Gamble. “We had a strong result last race at VIR, but our goal is to get back on the top step to help our championship chances. Let’s see what we can do this weekend!”

"I'm excited to get on track at Indy this Friday," said Stevenson. "It's a very iconic place and it will be my first time there. Tom and I have been in the sim at our shop in Phoenix learning the track ahead of the weekend. Hopefully we can have another good weekend!"

Qualifying for the six-hour enduro will take place on Saturday, September 20th, starting at 3:15 p.m. ET, with live coverage on Peacock. Sunday’s race will take the green flag at 11:40 a.m. ET with flag-to-flag coverage on Peacock and on NBC starting at 3:00 p.m. ET.
