Team Notes
Hannah Grisham secured the No. 26 crew’s third consecutive pole position and her second Motul Pole Award of the season.
Grisham started the rain-soaked race, leading the opening four laps before being passed by a Mustang. The pair pulled away from the rest of the field and built a gap before the first caution.
Under caution, the No. 26 Vantage came down pit lane for fuel, a switch from wet to dry-weather tires, and a driver change to Hannah Greenemeier.
Greenemeier restarted fourth but was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time when a battle between a McLaren and BMW forced her off track. She rejoined in ninth and held the position through the checkered flag.
Chatting with the drivers…
Hannah Grisham: “It was definitely a challenging race with the wet conditions at the start, so the focus was on staying clean, making smart decisions, and handing the car over to Hannah Greenemeier. I was happy with the pace we had and felt like we made the most of the conditions. Unfortunately, Hannah got caught up in some contact after the driver change because I think we had the potential for an even stronger result. Overall, there are a lot of positives to take away, and we’ll keep building from here. Thanks to the team for giving us a great car all weekend.”
Hannah Greenemeier: “Another solid result in the top 10. The team did a great job with strategy, and Hannah Grisham did a great opening stint with the rain. Some were pushing and shoving out there, and unfortunately I was on the unlucky end on a couple, but the pace was great, so we can take that positively going into VIR. I’m really proud of the team, and I know the result we have all been working hard to get will come soon. Huge thank you to everyone on The Heart of Racing for their hard work.”
