Gunn started from 10th and moved up to seventh following an opening-lap caution. He passed for sixth on lap 16 and maintained the position until pitting on lap 48.
De Angelis took over for the final hour and 30 minutes, working his way up to fourth before a caution came out with one hour remaining. After restarting fifth, De Angelis was forced off track by a competitor and fell to ninth. He recovered one position before taking the checkered flag in eighth.

Ross Gunn: “It was a difficult race for us. We showed promise throughout the race, and both Roman and I were able to move up the order. We got as high as P4, which was really promising, before we got taken out. The team did an awesome job improving the car going into the race and it felt like we had a bit more of a chance. It was definitely a difficult weekend, but looking forward to Petit Le Mans, a track we had great success at last year. We want to replicate that, and are looking forward to getting there in two weeks time.”

After starting second following a penalty for a competitor, Gamble maintained his position through an opening-lap caution. Two laps after the race returned to green, Gamble made the pass for the lead and remained out front for the final 22 laps of his stint.
Barrichello took over for the final hour and 50 minutes, leading 24 laps before a caution came out with one hour remaining. Following a challenging restart, Barrichello battled to a fifth-place finish.

Tom Gamble: “Obviously, a bit of a disappointing result in the end. It was nice to see the car showed strong pace again, from beginning to the end of the race. We still go into Road Atlanta with a chance at the championship. The team did a great job, hopefully luck will be on our side for Petit Le Mans.”
